ZoneOrchestrator Community


To setup the ZoneOrchestrator Community you must follow all of these steps. You do not have to use ZoneOrchestrator to setup the ZoneOrchestrator Community.

  1. Know your ZoneOrchestrator account username and password
    Note: you are not required to use ZoneOrchestrator to access the ZoneOrchestrator Community
  2. Activate your newsgroup access
  3. Set up a ZoneOrchestrator Community Profile
  4. Configure Outlook Express (or another news reader of your choice)

 

 

Step 1. Your ZoneOrchestrator username and password

If you remember your ZoneOrchestrator Username and Password, go to Step 2.

If you do not remember your username or password go here to have them looked up.

If you do not have a ZoneOrchestrator account enter your Member Plus Zone Nickname here.

 

Step 2. Activate your newsgroup access

Click here and enter your ZoneOrchestrator username and password. If it doesn't work, make sure that your username is entered just like it is in emails sent to you.

The username is case sensitive. If your username is Cat, then cat, cAt, and CAT will not work. Only Cat, with a capital C, will work.

Only use your ZoneOrchestrator username and password to log into the webpage.  Do NOT use your Passport password, do NOT use zoc or D9mT3kpA, and do NOT use your MPHQ password.

 

Step 3. Set up a ZoneOrchestrator Community Profile

Click "Create a profile" here and create a profile.

Display name and email address will appear on your newsgroup posts. Use a valid email address. It does not have to be your Email Address on Record.

 

Step 4. Configure Outlook Express or another newsreader

Your newsgroup access information is:

NNTP Server: news.zoneorchestrator.com
Account name: Your ZO username with "zoc" in front of it and a forward slash -"zoc/MyUsername".
Password: Your ZO account password.

 

If you are using Outlook Express and DO NOT have the newsgroups now, do this:

  1. Download and save this file.
  2. Open Outlook Express.
  3. Click "Tools" on the menu bar,
  4. "Accounts..."
  5. In the "Internet Accounts" dialog, click the "Import" button.
  6. Navigate to the folder where you saved the settings file, select it, and click "Open".
  7. "ZO Community Newsgroups" will appear in your list of accounts.
  8. Select it and click the "Properties" button.
  9. Click the "Server" tab.
  10. Change your account name and password to the above,
  11. Click "Ok".
  12. Close the "Internet Accounts" dialog.
